This is a great site. I placed my order and by the next am it was available for download. Had some problems with some missing copy on some pages. Once I brought the error to the OMC's attention, the issue was resolved. I'll come back again.

The quality of this manual is good. It has all schematics and setup information for both the MDS-B3 and the MDS-B4. The scan quality is quite good, all pages are readable, This service manual also contains scans of the operating instructions from the User manual.

No Yes Is +5V on the 6 pin, the 43 pin and the 51 pin (DVDD) of IC802, the 15 pin (PVDD), the 25 pin (AVDD), the 39 pin (AVDD3)? Yes Is 0V on the 38 pin (SEL) of IC802? No Yes Yes No Check the pattern between IC806 and IC802 (BUCK/CCE/ BUS0-3). Check the parts around IC801 and Q801. If normal, the pickup is defective. Check the PWB pattern among the collector of Q861 and the 6 pin, the 43 pin, the 51 pin, the 15 pin, the 25 pin, the 39 pin of IC801. Does laser light on when cutting the pattern between the 38 pin (SEL) of IC802 and the 8 pin (SEL) of IC801? No No Check the PWB pattern between the 2 pin of BI605B/ CNS605B and the emitter of Q861.
Check around IC804 and Q861.
Check the PWB pattern between IC807 and the 64 pin of IC802.

If OK, IC802 is defective. � The Video CD cannot be played normally. Whilst the disc is playing, is a signal being supplied to pins 96 ~98 on IC15V? (Refer to the waveform shown in Figure 45.)
